NWYW 200-hour Advanced Yoga Training

At NW Yoga & Wellness our mission is to create an active learning environment that is supportive, inclusive, and non-competitive so that students can learn, grow and discover.  The NWYW 200-hour Advanced Yoga Training program is just one of the many programs that are offered whether you are an aspiring yoga teacher or serious student looking to advance your practice.

In this comprehensive, 200-hour training, you’ll gain the knowledge, confidence and awareness that is essential for becoming an alignment-based yoga teacher should you choose.  You will learn Asanas (yoga postures) based on the Iyengar method, with great emphasis on structural alignment, anatomy, and basic yoga therapeutics.  This program was created and follows the eight constituents of Patanjali’s Ashtanga-Yoga in his text, The Yoga Sutra.

Based on the curriculum provided by Yoga Alliance plus the self-study that is requires by the student, you will gain the tools needed to continue to grow with much awareness and confidence in your personal practice or lead group classes.  NWYW is an accredited yoga school (RYS), offering RYT programs which qualify participants for certification as a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) through Yoga Alliance when you pass the exam after the training. The 200-hour training consists of an initial 5 day intensive followed by 6, three day weekends (Fri, Sat, & Sun).  In addition to the training that is outlined, additional weekly mentorship is provided with Debra Wolfe during her scheduled weekly classes.

Below is an outline of everything you need to know about the program, as well as an application should you choose to take the training.

For questions about the training or to take a complementary class with Debra Wolfe contact her at  debra.nwyogawellness@gmail.com.
